선지자 사무엘의 무덤

네비 삼윌(Nebi Samwil)(“사무엘 선지자”)로 알려진 전통적인 무덤은 미브사(Mizpah)이며 이곳에서 사무멜은 이스라엘의 지도자로 세례를 받았습니다 (사무엘상. 7:5-6).

1173년에 메투셀라의 벤자민이 이 땅을 여행할 때 사무엘 선지자의 무덤을 방문했으며, 거룩한 도시가 보이는 해안 평야에 위치한 람라(Ramla)유태인 공동 묘지에서 십자군이 사무엘의 뼈를 발견하고, 여기에 다시 매장했다는 사실을 알게 되었습니다. 학자들에 따르면 십자군이 람라가 사무엘의 매장지라고 잘못 생각하고 예루살렘의 북쪽에 있는 라마(Rama)와 혼동했다고 합니다.
